Meanwhile, I've been doing very low-level programming, and my god everything is crazy difficult and seems ugly to me (who has always programmed at a high-ish level). Also, my god everything is expensive when you start. Need a logic analyzer? $200 please. An easy to use SPI flasher? $35 please. Test hooks? $15 please.
