Problems with Xbox 360 controller and Screen Size

Hello, I am using a Xbox 360 controller and it seems to be working great. However, when I play using Wiimote settings, the cursor cannot maneuver the full size of the screen. It can only go around in a circle about half the size of the screen so I cannot click on many things. I tried to mess with IR and resolution settings but nothing fixed my issue. Please help thanks.
