I noticed a serious "frame drop" in MegaMan X collection despite the games running at 60 fps, and that makes it super smooth. It affects other games too; but that one is actually presents a gameplay/graphical issue.

Finally I tested exclusive fullscreen mode with better results in smooth gameplay but not totally perfect. I've messed one full hour with settings and versions and I finally found the culprit.

Prepare to be surprised.

Fucking 'hide mouse cursor' option.

Yes, this is one of the first checkbox I check for every new version and I could never have imagined it was related to the framerate inconsistency.

Something is working in the dolphin background hidding the cursor in some kind of infinite loop. I guess if it's checking every one or two seconds for cursor state and producing hitches in the framerate.

My current config for Kirby's RTDL in dolphin is

dolphin nvidia profile:
SLI disabled, force vsync ON, max prerendered frames 1

dolphin settings:
Double core on
Avoid inactive frames on
Framerate limiter Automatic
CPU emulator JIT
No messages in ui
DSP HLE Audio
LLE thread off
Audio buffer off
XAudio2
Direct3D
Vsync off
Fullscreen on (exclusive mode)
Show FPS off
Autosize off
Hide mouse cursor OFF!!!
Log render off
keep window on top off
Render to main window off
Every other option as default and logs disabled
4x resolution

and Rivatuner SS limiting framerate (60 fps)

Perfect smooth this way. Activating 'hide cursor' option produces hitches.

EDIT:

Ok, was fine for a while. After windows restart, the problem is back. Framerate is not smooth again.
