So I just heard about 5886 and how it can be much smoother and I figured I'd try it out. Unfortunately I can only launch a game one time. After I close out of the first emulation and try to launch another I get "Dolphin.exe has stopped working" and I have to close the program (If I start it back up It goes straight to not working. I don't get another emulation). If I delete all the files in the "Dolphin Emulator" folder, then it will work again for one more emulation. Obviously it is creating some file on the first emulation that doesn't allow it to work again. Anyone know how to fix this? because the exclusive fullscreen feature is amazing. I'm running Windows 8.1.

Edit: I decided not to be completely helpless and try to narrow down the problem as much as I could. It seems that the issue occurs when there is a "StateSaves" folder in "Dolphin Emulator" which is odd because that folder should have been there from using 652 but 5886 worked the very fist time I tried it. Deleting just that folder isn't the biggest pain in the world so at least I can use it now, but I'd still like to know what's going on.

So I re-downloaded it and now the same thing happens but with the "ShaderCache" folder instead. I'll bring back the old one and see if it still has a problem with "StateSaves" or if it's changed somehow to "ShaderCache".

It seems the old one has switched to not liking the "ShaderCache" folder as well.

Use D3D instead of OpenGL; your graphics card has driver bugs.

Open the Graphics tab in Dolphin, and the first drop down box should say OpenGL. click on that to change to D3D

What are the differences between the two? If OpenGL performs better than D3D, I'll just put up with deleting the folder.

On Intel GPUs, I think D3D works better due to how Intel has their drivers.
But both back ends are the same in Dolphin.
