It's been a while since the dolphin forums has solved one of my problems so here we go!!!

https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-re...r-mobo-cpu

After the problems in this thread (laggy / stuttery HD footage on things like hulu and netflix etc) I decided to re install windows and start from scratch.

After installing all the drivers and windows updates I have been left with 3 major problems.

1. Slow internet speeds. Speedtest.net has shown anything from 2mb to 13mb. It should be close to 30mb. The pc is wired to the router, all other devices are wireless and the speedtest.net results are normal. I've tried everything I can with the network devices options and reset the router many times. (Bypassed router, same problem).

2. Taring. When I move a window around I get really bad tearing on the edges. It also shows up in video on fast moving stuff. It's not the monitor. Again, all drivers are installed and updated.

3. High cpu load. When moving windows about, the cpu load can go up to as much as 50%, when I shop dragging them about, it can drop down to next to nothing.

I'm starting to lose faith in this PC. I've had it for months now and I've barely been able to use it.

PC spec: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/jonathantri...ved/mbTMnQ

Please help.

I'm pretty sure you can v-sync your desktop but I'm not to sure. For the CPU usage that is normal when moving around windows plus CPU load doesn't really matter unless a application is using too little/ too much of your CPU. For the router issue i have that issue all the time at home. I have no idea what causes it and i know its not traffic from other people due to the speeds the router are reporting are also low. Maybe you should talk to your ISP.

I tired looking through AMD's CCC to see if I could see something but couldn't. It happens on the TV too (I use it as a second monitor).

Your right, moving around windows does use CPU, just tried it on my other PC, I guess that's not a problem then but thought it might have something to do with the tearing.

ISP won't do anything because I do get full speeds on wireless so it's not a problem at their end. Obvious thing I haven't tried yet is a new cable. If that doesn't work I'm just going to go wireless.

So I guess the tearing is the main issue that needs resolving.

So I guess a residual windows update cleared up the screen taring.

I still have issues with the internet speed. I even switched out the cable for a wireless adapter, and I still have the same problem.

That means it must be software related as I have eliminated all the hardware possibilities.

Anyone have any suggestions?
