I've just downloaded Dolphin to run SSBB, and the first time I installed and ran it it worked great. I installed the iso and the game save so that I had everything for the game. It ran 60 fps consistent and was working fine. I then closed it and did some other stuff. When I came back to start up dolphin again, it didn't work. Every time I double clicked it it would just sit there for a few seconds, then I would get a message asking if I wanted to send error information to Microsoft because dolphin had crashed. It always crashes and I cannot even get the program open. I've deleted and re-installed dolphin a few times with different versions with little luck. I even took the working files from my brother's computer and they didn't work on mine. I have no idea what is wrong with it, and I have deleted every single thing that is related to dolphin on my computer. Please help.

What did you change when you "did other stuff"? also have you tried running Dolphin as Admin and placing it in a non system location like c:\Dolphin?

When I did other stuff it was installing older/other versions of dolphin. I wasn't messing around with any of the files.

Understood. Could you answer the other questions when you have time?

I had previously tried running it as an admin with no luck. Just tried to run it while it was in c:\ Dolphin and this time it didn't even appear with an error message. When I try to open it here in Task Manager it just appears for a few seconds then disappears.

What version of Dolphin are you using? If it's 3.5, use the latest development version, we fixed an issue like that already.
If it's a recent dev version, could you zip your whole Dolphin directory and upload it somewhere? I suspect an issue in config files. 08-19-2013, 03:44 PM
It still doesn't work. Just downloaded the most recent version. 3.5-1822 and I'm still only able to open it once without it crashing.

I'm not 100% sure what you mean by directory, but this is a zip of my dolphin folder. http://www.mediafire.com/?4vu5lsgbz8al7d5
