I've read the FAQ regarding forum guidelines and Ive checked out the Game Thread Index for Zelda Twilight Princess for Wii. Ive scoured google but no luck.

So The Game was running fine (Dolphin v5.0-17269), until i got to the Twilight Realm in the jail cell. The graphics then froze after a few minutes in that area. So I hit the stop button in the main Dolphin window. Then I immediately hit the play button, then I got this error: "(4) cant create an OpenGL rendering context", click OK, then "Failed to initialize video backend!"

When it freezes the sound keeps on playing in the background and I can hear the controls working so the game is definitely running. After the first freeze it has become a frequent occurrence. Also when i save into a slot when it freezes and the load from that slot (after restart) it behaves normally again, but this is not an ideal solution.

The only option is to restart Dolphin and hack my way through it until it crashes again.

First of all have you check you game iso, this can be done in game proprieties. Next is you graphic drivers updated and if this is a recent problem that would be work mentioning as maybe there might be a regression. After those try different backends. Something graphic card\igpu perform better or worse depending on the backend. Direct x 11\12 in my experience tend to be better for intel ipgu, with opengl been okay and vulken being pretty hit or miss. Next is clean option. Export you save then use a clean unzip installation of dolphin with a portable.txt at the dolphin.exe folder. Then import the save without changing any other settings except controller. If it still cause it change backends like above. If none of that work try the previous beta and post if that works.
