Problem with Wii games registering as GameCube games

So I decide to start downloading some wii and gamecube roms but something strange is going on while the gamecube games work completely fine the wii games always just stay on a black screen until i use task manager. And then i realized that the wii games (except fo wii sports which i had previously) are all counted as gamecube games. My guess is that the place where i got them made them so that in dolphin they register as gamecube games so the hole wii startup thing never happens. And i wanna know if there's a way i can some how change it so the wii games register as wii games and not gamecube games
