Hi there!

Thank you very much for taking your time helping me with my problem!

I read somewhere that it is possible to run an extracted game directly from HDD but I'm having some problems setting it up.
So far I extracted the Partition 1 of the game to a folder (let's say "F:\Games\SnS3\part") using Wiiscrubber. I also extracted the apploader.img and the main.dol to "F:\Games\SnS3\bin".
In Dolphin I set the path "DVD Root" to "F:\Games\SnS3\part" and the "Apploader" to "F:\Games\SnS3\bin\apploader.img". Then I load the main.dol via the "Open" function, but all I get is a black screen...

Can someone friendly enough please tell me what exactly I'm doing wrong?

Thank you!

Don't think it'll work hmm... :/
Why do you want to extract the content of the iso anyways.
New computer, I'm back!

But I'm pretty sure there is this kind of option. A guy from the Tales of Graces translation team describes the idea in the 2 posts here and here, but it somehow won't work for me. I'm sure I'm just doing something wrong, but I don't know what :/

But thanks for your quick reply!

Edit: I thought it would be better to put the quotes from the 2 links here:
Quote:Are you testing via an ISO? If so, just extract the games contents into a folder and run the dol with Dolphin; much quicker for testing, and the files can be a little larger (so just use cpk_replace_test). Seems the game does have some sort of size checker though, since the game ends up freezing after too many edits to the cpk.
Quote:Go to the Path tab in Dolphin's Config. Set DVD Root to the folder where the files are kept, and Apploader to the games apploader.img file in the same folder. Once both are set, it'll work, assuming you also have the system set to Japanese.

So... nobody here who could help me?

Is there any place where I could look up a documentation on how the "DVD Root" and "Apploader" settings (under "Options" -> "Configure" -> "Paths") work?

Help would be greatly appreciated.
