The speed actually isn't the problem, most graphics work fine, but all the text is really messed up looking. I can't read anything.

Just go in the menu and right click the game, then go in proprierties, and check the safe texture cache, it should work.
You can also go in the graphics options -> advanced -> and there check this option to be on in all games. Hope it helps...

I recommend you to set this setting on only for this game, can cause problems on some other games...

Another problem, I can't get the scan visor to scan.
I tried the EFB to RAM thing and it still doesn't work. I'm using r4416. 10-14-2009, 09:45 AM
This scan visor works for me most times when using the emulator, and when it doesnt, I just restart the emulator, but this doesnt seem to work for everyone, just for me, dunno why...

Restarting dolphin fixed the scan visor, thanks, but now for some reason it's running 30 fps where I had near 60 before.

"...but now for some reason it's running 30 fps where I had near 60 before"
I have exact the same problem, sometimes dolphin only runs with halfe speed for no reason. / I also have the proplem that I loose near 50% of speed when I overclocke my dualcore from 2,66 to 3,33 but shouldn´t it be the opposite ?

I'm also having a bit of a scanner problem with Metroid Prime 2. Ideally, I would love to use DirectX to play this game, but can't get the scanner to work with DirectX. So, instead I use OpenGL. Now, normally, I set frameskipping to about 3 to help out with the speed a bit, but this seems to cause the scanner to only function a seemingly non-random one-third of the time that I press the button to scan. The lower that I set the frame skipper while using OpenGL, the more often that it works, but it reduces the speed to unacceptable levels to me if I go too low. Again, ideally I would like to use DirectX at some point with this game, but am now using OpenGL with a sporadic yet semi-functional scanner. Has anybody else had scanner issues with frameskipping on?
