Phenom 2 x4 965.

$85.

http://www.amazon.com/AMD-Phenom-3-4Ghz-512KB-4000MHZ/dp/B002SRQ214/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1349066241&sr=8-1&keywords=phenom+2+965

Up to you.

Beats all of the FX processors in dolphin.

However, if you MUST have the FX series then get the 4170.
It can't overclock past 5 GHz and even at that it would only be a bit faster than the Phenom 2 X4 965 @ 4 Ghz, while consuming much more power.

There is no point buying Phenom II nor Bulldozer when Piledriver is about to be released

This is true if he is willing to wait, but I don't get that impression.
But yes, the FX-4300 should be better than either of them.

As financial advice it's always better to get what you know will work and last for you for a while to come, if you buy the phenom or faildozer you'll most likely be hunting for a new processor some time next year
......?????

I would switch to intel, amd cpu's cant compare these days to intel sadly.
If you have good amd mobo, then you can sell it for decent money and that will help your transition.
Options from cheapest to the most expensive, all better then either faildozer or phenom:
i5 2300 or 2400+cheap h61 mobo
i5 2500k+z68 mobo ( or z77 if its not more expensive )
i5 3570k+z77 mobo

If i would switch... why not to a i7 3770k?
I'm actually thinking about doing it...

i7-3770k is not worth the money, if you use this CPU only for Gaming. HyperThreading is needed for video encoding/decoding etc. but not for gaming. Better get the core i5-3570k.

Compared with 3570k there is no real advantage getting a 3770k. You can read this thread http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/showthread.php?tid=24153
