I had been expecting to post about a Dolphin problem (Ubuntu 20.04, Ryzen 3600, RTX 2070) that occurs on launch and renders all the banner icons the wrong size, which I can live with tbh but it seemed a useful pointer to the Gecko/AR problem.
But the icon problem just seemed to solve itself when I launched Dolphin for the first time in a few days just now.

I'm trying to get the 16:9 code for Wind Waker working. But when I click 'Edit Config' under the game's GameConfig tab, I get the following error message:

wxExecute returned -1 on application run!

Googling that error + dolphin returns literally 1 result. Have uninstalled and reinstalled Dolphin a few times, no luck. Anyone have any idea how I could fix this?

Both of these problems sound like they might get fixed if you update to a newer version of Dolphin (since the newer versions have completely rewritten GUI code that no longer uses wxWidgets).

Unfortunately the Dolphin ppa doesn't include dolphin-emu-master for Ubuntu 20.04 yet, so rn this would require downgrading to Ububtu 18.04

By the power of Linux, you can always just compile from source yourself and always have the most up to date version whenever you want: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Building_Dolphin_on_Linux
