I have a bootleg GameCube controller adapter (https://www.target.com/p/wii-u-adapter-4-port-gc-controller-adapter-ttx-tech/-/A-79903940), and while Dolphin recognizes it, no inputs are detected from the controller. I've swapped the drivers using Zadig, made sure the switch on the back of the adapter is set to the Wii U option, tried swapping the USB ports and controller ports, and the adapter and controller are both tested and working on a Switch. I suspect I'll have to pick up a Mayflash adapter, but I'm crossing my fingies that I won't have to

Adapters besides the Nintendo one's and the 4 port Mayflash one can be weird with support. It seems like a lot of them just pretend that they work like they should by spoofing the USB ID. Yours might be that one unfortunately
