Problem with GBA link

Hi, I've been trying to get this to work for ages now. I'm trying to play The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures, multiplayer, and it isn't really working.

I'm using Dolphin 5.0, and have tried a ton of different versions of VBA-M (Have r974 right now.) The first GBA connects fine, but... the second one seems to be trying to connect to the same port?  the thing then just lags out for ages (second gba) , and then doesn't load. I've looked around, and really cant find a solution to this. Sorry to have to ask

You have to use lle.

When using LLE, VBA-M just lags and crashes as soon as the E in Gameboy appears... :(

(Dolphin also freezes when this happens. Doesn't say not responding, just... freezes. It's weird, sorry)

You need a real DSP dump from your Wii or GC, not the one that comes with Dolphin
