So I just bought a Bluetooth dongle, it's a "Trust bluetooth adapter 31022"
Windows 8 automatically seems to have installed something like drivers right when I plugged it in, but it couldn't connect the wiimote apparently (been just pressing its keys so it glows while the pc was searching). My Wii-Remote is an original one from Nintendo, and I also tried with my golden one that came with Zelda Skyward Sword.
Then I decided to put the Driver CD that came with it in and tried to install that, but it keeps saying it's not compatible with win8 and not even win7 compatibility mode helps.
Any idea how I could finally connect a wiiremote to the pc? Or am I doing something wrong here?

(On a different topic, I'm on google chrome and can't seem to see those boxes to tick i believe. Made it quite hard to register here xD but they seem to activate when i click on the right spot)

Did you try to install the Toshiba bluetooth stack?

I didn't O.o
But I got it to connect once now, but it's weird. The problem seems to be because I need to have my real Wii running too, just to give the sensor bar energy and then the Remote connects here and there
Edit: Tried installing Toshiba Bluetooth stack, it says it isn't working with my OS :X
And Windows also "knows" the Wiimote now, it shows "Nintendo device" in the last connected Hardware panel thingy, but it won't connect anymore somehow

I think I have none... not even my mobile phone has bluetooth yet lol

Meanwhile I had some very weird computer errors and some bluescreens because of the windows directx thingy (lol) and suddenly the wiimote connects just fine as long as i leave the wii completely off power.
Is there a way to get the sensor bar working without the wii on? Like connect it to somewhere else for energy? that might solve the problem maybe..

Thanks for the help so far!

You could buy a wireless sensorbar for example.
