Hi. I plan on buying a wireless sensor bar, but until then, I thought I'd try emulating a Wii game with a real Wiimote.

I successfully paired the Wiimote with my computer.
The buttons work, but pointer does not.

It's as if there is no sensor bar.
And there is. It's wired to my Wii (the Wii is turned on and the sensor bar is working, I checked with my camera).

I don't really know what to do. Undecided

Any ideas?

Even the candle method doesn't work.

Gamecube ports are all set to Nothing.

I really don't know what to try...

No one knows how to solve this?
I found a couple of threads where people had the same problem, but if anyone managed to get it work, they didn't post about it.

This doesn't really make any sense.
I have tried numerous Dolphin version and nothing seems to work.

Although... I tried switching to Hybrid Wiimote.
The buttons still work and everything. The pointer doesn't, but when I point at the sensor, the pointer appears on screen.
If I move it around, nothing happens, and if I stop pointing at the sensor, the pointer goes away.

Both the Wiimote and the sensor are original Nintendo... accessories or whatever.

EDIT:
Nope, pointing at the screen with Hybrid doesn't work when I point the Wiimote at the sensor, but when I hold the Wiimote horizontally.

Make sure that of your Wii is set to have the sensor bar above the TV Dolphin is set up that way too. The same goes for if the sensor bar is below.
Desktop:
OS: Windows 7 64 bit
CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K @ 4.4 GHz
GPU: EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti (Factory OC'ed)
RAM: 16 GB @ 1600 MHz
Dolphin Revision:3.0, 3.0-784, 3.5, latest 3.5

Wow, you just made my day.
It wasn't that the settings were wrong.

The only thing "wrong" was that I never tried putting the sensor on the top of the screen.
I just put it on my table and tried waving at it.

If I put it on my monitor, it works pretty good.
I have no idea how that works, but I'm glad it does.

Thanks!

If the sensor bar is hard to balance on the too, you can change the setting to have the sensor bar at the top. It should be under Wiimote Config toward the bottom.
