Problem with 101 punies in Paper Mario Thousand Year Door

On the fight between the 100 punies and 100 flies, some of the flies and punies just disappear so it doesn't seem possible to finish it. Is there any way to get through the fight or is TTYD just not fully playable on Android?

Edit: I was able to get through using the interpreter instead of the CPU JIT at 3fps. On the plus side I got to appreciate each individual frame I guess.

Your device probably doesn't support bounding box which is required for them to show up.

Not having bounding box support would've caused serious problems much earlier. I can't recall for sure, but could this have something to do with the JIT...?

EDIT: Ah yep, it was the JIT according to the latest edit to the original post.
