Hi, unfortunately I forgot/didn't follow the rules of the forums in my last post (not listing specs) so sorry and I will try and do it right this time.

So, I am trying to run Mario kart Double Dash from the Gamecube on Dolphin 3.0 (couldn't get newer versions because a 7-zip box comes up saying "Incorrect Command Line"). When I start the game, I get the black box with yellow text reading my system specs at the top as well as saying "clearing code cache" and "Dolphin 3D9 Backend". Then the Nintendo logo comes up and disappears, followed by the Dolby surround logo (like it's supposed to be). However, after these two logo nothing happens and I am left with a reading "Intel® Core™ i7-2630QM CPU @ 2.00 GHz" and below that, "GenuineIntel, 8 cores (2 logical threads per physical core), SSE,SSE2,SSE3," and it seems to cut off after SSE3.

After all of that, the computer sounds like it's loading the game, but nothing happens (after the logos it's supposed to show the little cloud holding the starting light, like on gamecube). I have tried this on 2 computers but get the same result. I am just trying to get the game to run for the first time as a new user. Also, when I launch the sound during the logos is a loud buzzing noise and not the "Weeee" noise in the actual game.

Specs:
-Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)
-Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-2630 QM CPU @ 2.00 GHz
-RAM: 6 GB
-GPU: Intel® HD-Graphics Family (probably not the best graphics)
-Version 3.0 of Dolphin (others don't seem to download, see above)
-Dolphin Settings: I used the exact settings that are in performance guide (http://www.dolphin-emu.org/performance.html)

If anyone can help with this, I would be very appreciative. Thanks.

Press the "A" or "Start" button after the logo screens until you see the title screen.

Use these settings. http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/showthread.php?tid=23618

I changed all my settings and tried using the gamcube controller "A" and "start" buttons but it still doesn't seem to respond. Do my specs meet the requirements (not sure from looking at them how some of them compare)?

1) Did you map the controls in GCPad?
2) Did you set port 1 to standard controller in config/Gamecube?
3) What kind of a GPU do you have? "Intel" is not specific enough.
4) Is the game file good?

1,2,4: checked all that
3: not too good with graphics card but some more info:

GPU:
Name: Intel® HD Graphics Family
Chip Type: Intel® HD Graphics Family
DAC Type: Internal
Approx. Total Memory: 1696 MB
Current Display Mode: 1600 x 900 (32 Bit) (60Hz)
Monitor: Generic PnP Monitor

I found all of that through google and then using the run function to get the DirectX Diagnostic Tool. Hopefully that is enough information, it doesn't seem that specific though. Also, it is a laptop so I'm not sure if that's why there isn't as much info or the card just isn't that good.

Download GPU-Z and post a shot of it with your GPU info shown.

How do you know your game file is good?

Does the FPS read 0?
You can see your FPS if you've enabled it via the graphics settings, or you can read it from the window title.
You'll probably want to redump your game.

As for your 'issue' with the latest Dolphin versions, extract the archive first.

I attached a picture of the GPU specs with the GPU-Z tool. I'm only assuming the game file is good since the game used to work when I had my Gamecube.

Garteal,

Yes, the game (after a few seconds) does go to 0 fps. It starts out with 60 fps when the nintendo and Dolby logos appear and then once they disappear it drops to 35 fps and then 0 fps right after that.

Well yeah, the game works on the GC, but that doesn't mean the file was transferred over properly and that the game file is complete or has no errors.

Try this anyway: Set the frame limit to auto, maybe the game is running too fast and is getting out of sync. Probably not, though.

I already had it on auto so that's not the solution. Guess I should try and dump it again then.
