Well, running windows 7 and dolphin on 2gb of ram + e5200 processor is bound to cause some slowdowns. Also nvidia 8500gt will not give full speed in all games.

You can try turning off framelimiter, audio throttle in DSP and idle skipping. I doubt it will help much but it's worth a shot.

Actually, see that's not quite right I have Windows 7 and everything is running just fine, with different emulators and settings I'm able to run just about any game runs at 80%-100% accept for smg2. I know it is a very old processor but with the help of overclocking it brings some more years of compatibility for emulation thx to dual core and sse, I pretty much had the same problems as he did here and all i did was update GPU from a ATI HD 4350 to ATI HD 4770 and overclock both. I would agree this isn't the best choice since its not healthy but it's probably the fastest solution, I would like anyone else with no doubt recommend a system update if possible since for that matter it is more reliable. BTW, Windows 7 don't require as much unlike Vista, it's just about equal to Windows XP if not better.

Operating System: Windows 7 64bit
Motherboard: MSI P67A-C643
Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30GHz (stock)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 4.00 GB @ 1600MHz
Hard Drive: 2 x 500 GB, DVD DL
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 ti @ 850/1701 (stock)
Monitor: Acer 24 widescreen 1920x1080

Well, that's because you have a pretty good graphics card.

He is using nvidia gt8500 which is 4-5 years old and about equivalent to a radeon x1900 series card. It very likely can't run heavier 3d games like zelda, mario galaxy, xenoblade, reginleiv, resident evil at full framerate used with e5200 processor.

That is correct, I cannot run Resident Evil or Mario Galaxy at full speed no matter what i do, as for the Zelda TP though I was using a modified plugin from Xtreme2damax r5475 build and get nothing but 30 fps at 100%, I've notice at the title screen when Link the wolf howls it drops down to 24 fps. I haven't test anything else yet, but also I'm having problems with getting the SSE instructions to work, it seems to slow down the games instead of making them slightly faster.
