Hi,
I've been trying to compile the latest version from git on Debian unstable. So far, I have the dependencies installed, and the cmake and make steps appear to complete successfully. When I try to make install, it throws the following error:
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `../Externals/Bochs_disasm/dis_decode.cpp', needed by `Externals/Bochs_disasm/CMakeFiles/bdisasm.dir/dis_decode.cpp.o'. Stop.
make[1]: *** [Externals/Bochs_disasm/CMakeFiles/bdisasm.dir/all] Error 2
make: *** [all] Error 2
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? After looking at other threads here, I have checked my gcc and cmake versions. I am using gcc 4.8 and cmake 2.8.11.2, which seem to be at least as up-to-date as needed to fix the problems in the other threads. I would appreciate any suggestions.
By the way, does the Ubuntu version on the download page support the OpenAL backend? I tried to install it (with the necessary extra dependencies from Ubuntu) but it did not give me the choice of OpenAL in the DSP backend menu dropdown. I do have libopenal packages installed (although the Debian versions).
