Hi, this may be an old question with an obvious answer, but is there any way to fully emulate the controls for The Forgotten Sands? I've always loved Wii games but hated the Wii controls, especially the one-handed joystick on the nunchuck because it really hurts my thumb. I try to use the original controllers as little as possible, especially for games with combat because I have a slight handicap that makes it really difficult to hold two controllers (wiimote and nunchuck) independently.

I was hoping to use Dolphin to play the game with my Gamecube controller, since the discomfort of using the original controls has stopped me in the past from finishing the game on the Wii. Mapping the GC controller to the emulated Wiimote worked fine for the first sequence but once I got to the first fight, I couldn't get the program to emulate the swing motions, even though I tried inputting several different button and joystick options in the settings. So I'm guessing that it doesn't work for that game and you're required to use the original controller, but wanted to find out for sure before giving up, because I really do like the game and would like to play it through someday without ruining my hands.

Oh sorry! I figured it out. I was trying to use it like the wiimote, pushing buttons too fast (as I would move my hand when swinging) instead of just pushing the button once and letting it do the sword-swinging motion. My bad! All sorted out now  :-)
