Playing Metroid Prime 2 through the Trilogy version and I'm finding that after a certain time my game simply freezes, I have tried enabling and disabling many things but they haven't made a difference so far, what should I do?
Prime 2 Keeps Freezing Without Reason

Are you using the latest development version?
Are you using NKit format? Is your game a good dump? Right click on the game > Properties > Verify > Verify Integrity And then post the screenshot of result here. Also attach the screenshot of your game settings. 08-07-2021, 02:13 AM

The part that is not present in the screenshot says "This disc image has an unusual size. This will likely make the emulated loading times longer. You will likely be unable to share input recordings and use NetPlay with anyone who is using a good dump." and also adds that the severity of the issue is "Low". 08-07-2021, 02:18 AM

The problem is probably caused by using dual core, and if not, by using NKit. Try without using those two things.

Dual Core caused its own issue before where it gave a specific error message, I wasn't getting it this time, so I suspected that it had no hand in it. But, I will try that. And how do I not use NKit? 08-07-2021, 05:53 AM
NKit is a iso compression for gamecube\wii disc. It lossy though and while it fine in most case in some games it can cause problems. It isn't recommend though and there are better option like rvz that you can use dolphin to convert to. You would need the original non modified iso though for it to be a proper verify iso though assuming you original dump was good though.

No, it's actually lossless (provided you didn't enable stripping the update partitions and then threw away the update partitions). (08-07-2021, 02:45 AM)Mars_Lars Wrote: And how do I not use NKit? The fact that you don't know how to not use NKit shows that you obtained the game illegally. (If you had obtain the game legally, it would simply be a matter of never running the NKit program.)
