I have been trying to find a solution for this for some time now. I am using a madcatz xobx360 controller for my emulator because it is natively supported as a gamepad in dolphin but whenever I try to map a button on this controller or for any controller for that matter it is all or nothing on the button push. This is quite aggravating when I try to play games like Super Mario Sunshine because to run and shoot you can't press the button down all the way and not being able to do this made the first chase scene take 10 minutes instead of 30 seconds Any advice on this would be terrific.

I'm assuming you are using a recent svn build.
To "run and shoot" in SMS you will want to map your digital button to "R-Analog", and not "R". 12-08-2010, 05:05 AM

I tried changing the threshold but this solved nothing. Any other advice because this is making the game quite difficult. 12-08-2010, 05:15 AM
You may find this a lame suggestion, but If you can, I would try to get my hands on an official xbox controller, and test if that one works.

I do possess one and i also possess xpadder but I haven't been able to get that to work either. It seems dolphin is working against me 12-08-2010, 07:59 AM

@haxxor5 did you select proper DEVICE before try to remap buttons?I mean from drop-down menu choose your gamepad, not default keyboard. If gamepad is properly installed and is visible for windows it will work in emu.
