Hi all, I have an issue where a game hitches occasionally at predictable moments. Super Smash Bros. Brawl - when certain attacks are performed for the first time in a match, there's a moment of hiccups and audio crackle, and when certain level elements activate, the same happens.
I'm mostly on the recommended config for the game, but I've tried everything to try and get rid of these hangs, and this includes DSP LLE and HLE, ticking to use separate core for audio (when that was an option), and various graphics options. I also moved SSBB to SSD, and even tried running it from RAMdisk, but storage I/O doesn't seem to have been the issue .
PC:
Windows 8.1 x64
i5 3570k @4.2Ghz
16GB 1600mhz Cas8 DDR3
AMD HD 7950
I can't really understand what the issue is. All power saving options on my PC are off, and it's at a constant and perfectly stable 4.2Ghz, and has been for a year. I tend to disable my network adapter while using "problem" emulators like Dolphin. My DPC latency is negligible as a result. My CPU, GPU, RAM, vRAM, and Disk usage are low during gameplay, and because I've tried so many different options and many different revisions since the stable 4.0 release, I'm at a loss for what to do. Suggestions? Is there perhaps an upcoming feature that might fix this issue?
