You could get away with that seasonic 300w because seasonic is good psu maker, and because your system with that gpu wont need more then 300w..but you will be cutting it close.
If you would be willing to not overclock cpu as well, it might be doable.
Overclocking cpu on that psu is really pushing it Smile

Well, I found also the Seasonic SS-350TGM, it's 80 Plus Gold certified and also have modular cabling system, plus 350W of power. If I can't find a suitable PSU to mod, I'll try with this one...

Quote:300W x 80% = 240W Real Power ....

Keep in mind that antec power calculator factors in PSU efficiency. By default it's set to 80%.

Quote:You will fry the PSU and in the worst case it could take out some components so its not recommended but that isn't too likely but still not worth the risk.

Unless it's a very shotty PSU that shouldn't happen. Like SS said the system will be unstable if you're not supplying enough power.

@Jhonn
400 watt TFX power supplies do exist. Now whether you'll be able to get one in your country is another story.

That 350 watt PSU should be enough but you're cutting it close.

I'm going to use the 350W from Seasonic... I found a suitable Air Cooling System that fit in my HTPC case, can handle my overclock requirements and lowered down the minimum wattage requirement to about 375W (at 100% load with i5-3570k overclocked to 4.5 GHz). Since the calculation was done assuming all components at 100% workload, running the processor at 100% TDP (unusual, this generally runs at 80-90%) and with the added wattage from time degradation, I'm pretty sure that the 350W from this Seasonic PSU should do the job very well...

EDIT: You guys have some high-end thermal compound suggestion? Furthermore, what's the best thermal compound brand in your opinions?
