My CPU temp over 80°C all the time.Maybe HSF installed failure(I plug it out to clean dust and...) or my CPU near dead. Can't record anygame anymore ...sad..I must wait 5 days until new core 2 duo arrive

Just reattaching a heatsink after it's gathered dust for months/years will kill the cpu. Also make sure your mobo bios can support core 2 duo. Great majority of socket 775 mobos for pentium IV/pentium D have BIOS that cannot recognise core 2 series processors, and will boot with just totally black screen. (But if that happens vendor will probably return money to you) You can easily check it by googling your BIOS version (you can see in boot) and the manufacturer will say usually in a .pdf which processor architectures are supported. Remember that old pentium processor from 2003 and core 2 quad from 2009 both use socket 775 and will fit in socket. But it will not boot in all cases.
No I just clean the dust by hand, not use "isopropanol alcohol"
Edit:My mainboard is 2010 edition ,can support core 2duo,quadcore Laptop: Mini PC :: |
