Ive been trying to do some texture modding on Paper Mario VC but there are a few textures that don't seem to be dumping properly.  These textures will dump several copies of the same texture with only slight variation in the file.  The texture should be static.  There seems to be extra data being displayed on the right-hand side of the texture dump.  It is data copied from what I expect to be the correct texture, but includes some rearranged and shifted data.

Here is an example of one texture being "cloned" several times with different hashes, and slightly rearranged data:
http://www.filedropper.com/map_12

You will see several copies of the same texture with only minor variation.  The texture is dumping as 64x16 but seems that it ought to be 48x16.

The edited textures will load, but they seem to be randomly selected from one of the dozens of texture "clones". (Tested by placing number 1-x over the texture clones -- they will randomly show different numbers with no predictability).

This affects several textures at various sizes.

This makes it virtually impossible to edit the textures because there seem to be a virtually limitless number of texture clones generated for each of these problem textures.

Many textures dump perfectly fine, but there is this subset of textures that is doing this weird dumping.

I've tried every option I could think of to get a clean dump of this texture and the others but they always come out like this.

I need the expertise of someone who is familiar with how the textures ought to be dumped to help me determine if there is a problem with the way this game is being dumped.

For comparison, these textures do not dump this way if dumped from the n64 version.

Some textures further display garbage data with the texture, or some textures are even (for lack of a better word) this sort of "rainbow confetti/static".  I've dumped a few other games and never seen this sort of junk.

I wonder if this is because the N64 emulator has its own texture cache stuff. I don't know why it would be doing this otherwise.
