Hello to all:

A few time ago I detect a strange issue, I thought It was because I was doing something wrong , but I want to share with you in case it would be a bug.

So when I make a new Dolphin installation, that is deleting all folder and global user folder also, then I extract latest Dolphin build. All seems to go fine.

But the problem is ini files is not affecting while I'm trying to change it in Dolphin game list (Properties > Edit Configuration). When I try to edit any game config file, notepad appears empty. The only way to see all configs is by copying manually from Dolphin GameSettings folder to global user folder. Even if I set a portable.txt file, I can't see any config file from Dolphin menu, only after copying files from one folder to other.

I have Windows 8.1, and I have installed Dolphin in "D:\", while "C:\ " is used only as OS drive.

What could be the problem here?

Thanks a lot for you help. Regards.

P.S.: Well I thought again and I believe there's no problem at all. Maybe Ini files from Dolphin folder are the default config that the emulator apply when I start a game. So if I create a new ini file (Properties > Edit Configuration) and add a command here, it will create a new ini file into global user folder. My doubt is, will this new ini overwrite all the rest of default setting applied by default ini file?

Yes there is no problem as you figured out and yes your local changes override the default inis (not overwrite as they are using separate files!).
