Are Game Copying Devices Illegal?
Yes. Game copiers enable users to illegally copy video game software onto floppy disks, writeable compact disks or the hard drive of a personal computer. They enable the user to make, play and distribute illegal copies of video game software which violates Nintendo's copyrights and trademarks. These devices also allow for the uploading and downloading of ROMs to and from the Internet. Based upon the functions of these devices, they are illegal. Here is the paragraph where Nintendo speaks some BS.

I hope that's fake, because if it's not so this site is screwed. 07-10-2009, 02:24 AM
You didn't get it. Nintendo is saying "based on their functions of distributing the games, they are illegal". But when the purpose is personal use, it's not illegal... they just want it sound like they are illegal when they aren't. It's like saying CTRL + C is illegal because it's purpose is to plagiarize.

If so, there would be no emulators at all, because there is no way to play games without ripping them to PC
