I need help setting up a XBOX ONE controller. It is recognized in windows and works in other emulators. Dolphin sees it as a gamepad in Controller Configuration. The controller maps ok and all the key presses light up when pushed. here is the problem. when I go to Configuration and select the gamecube tab there is no slot selections for me to put this controller in slot1 in device settings. Nothing below SP1 selection. I can't get this controller or the keyboard to function inside the running emulation. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I tried deleting the setting files in Documents and installing the latest build but no luck
Ports 1-4 not showing in Gamecube tab of Configuration

The controllers are configured individually. So if you want to set up a second controller, you need to select an option (like Standard Controller) in the dropdown, then the configure button will be available and you can set it up there.
Is that what you were wanting to do? Intel Xeon w7-3465X OC | Asus Pro WS W790-E Sage SE | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 FE | 8x16GiB G-Skill Zeta R5 DDR5-6000 | Windows 11 23H2 | (details)

Thanks for your quick reply MayImilae. That’s not what I’m trying to do. Click on my screenshots in the original post so you can see what’s happening. I configured the first controller but it doesn’t work in game play and there’s no way to select it for port 1 in the third screenshot. That’s the key one. Take a look at that. Other threads on fixing controllers show images of that menu with options to assign controllers to each port. But it simply isn’t present on on mine.

Which game are you trying to play?

Back in Dolphin 4.0, that was done in the window shown in the third screenshot, but nowadays it's done in the window shown in the first screenshot. You've already set it up to be in slot 1 correctly. |
