Question
Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but I just tried playing Pokemon Colosseum after a lot of revisions passing since the last time I played and everything graphically is fine; but when I get in-game I can't move down. In menus or with my character.

Actually I take that back. I can, its just SUPER unresponsive and takes like 10 seconds to move the equivalent of 2 feet and when I'm in my pause menu the selector moves back up after I move all the way down.

This is only affecting Pokemon Colosseum. I've played SMS, SSBM, F-Zero GX, Zelda WW all without any problems and I even calibrated my 360 controller. Also in the controller config inside dolphin my analog sticks show they're working perfectly and I've messed the deadzones too to see if that would fix the problem, but nope.

Oh, duh I almost forgot the most important part. I was using 5.0-RC5. I'll try the latest dev build later and see if the bug is gone there.

I tried with the keyboard and no issues. I tried RC-19 and the problem persists (with the controller). I did notice something though. If I pull down on the analog stick slightly and not all the way down I can move down. But if I pull it all the way down my guy starts running up.... It doesn't happen when moving left or right or up, just down. That might help narrow things down. (no pun intended)

And like I said this is a non issue for every other game I've played on dolphin. I might try XD to see if that also suffers from this.

I've already messed with that. It's not my controller. This is the only game in dolphin that has this issue. I can move freely in animal crossing and tons of other games withouth any issues.

You could have a bad dump of the game. Right click on it, go to properties, and the second to last tab has a way to compute the MD5 sum. Compare that against a known good copy on the Internet (gametdb.com has a good library of MD5 sums)

I really appreciate the suggestion man. I'll keep that site bookmarked for future use. I restarted my PC and whatever I did inbetween seems to have fixed the problem. I can't reproduce the issue anymore in any version of Dolphin. Which leads me to believe it may not have been a Dolphin issue at all.... But it's really strange that only Colosseum was affected.

I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for it happening again. It may not be a dolphin issue entirely but this thread may help someone else with this issue know that they aren't alone, and to try calibrating their controller/restarting their PC.
