As handheld RPGs, they are somewhat intriguing games. But I lost all interest in the collecting aspect a long time ago. They literally have like 500 pokemon now (the original was 151, and then expanded to 251 for the new worlds).

And as we grow up, disillusionment can occur with these types of games. After all, they're ultimately made for kids. Like many people born in the 80-90's though, fond memories of the first few games are common. Everyone had the link cables and pocket systems at school and it was a whole phenomena.

I almost feel sorry for todays kids, hehe. Who wants to memorize half a thousand names..

O_O. The last time I checked the pokedex. They were 437 pokemons....But yeah, too many pokemons to memorize :3
