It's probably some timing issue. Not fixable without changing Dolphins and/or VBA-Ms code.

I know a popular Pokemon shiny hunter who managed to do it. (sadly when I asked, he was no help as he forgot how he did it) Maybe an earlier version of Dolphin or VBA might work? 02-07-2021, 06:30 AM
Do you know if the shiny hunter did it with Dolphin?
You might get lucky with some combination of versions of Dolphin, VBA-M and your CPU (number of cores and clock speed). Have you googled colosseum ecards and seen the thread? 02-07-2021, 06:59 AM

Yes he did it with Dolphin, however when I asked him he said he forgot which versions of VBA-M and Dolphin he used. He even said he never saw my error message before. Probably, I doubt my computer is the issue, do you have a suggestion on which version I might try? I did, barely anyone has ever tried such a thing (no surprise), it's niche enough to be interested in e-reader stuff, even more niche is Japanese exclusive content on a rom of a game barely anyone has :/ 02-08-2021, 08:49 AM
Try Dolphin 4.0-5899 or newer and VBA-M svn 1235 or newer (emulators that are March 2015 or newer). But just to let you know I have tried the above and the connection does not work for me.

The guy I mentioned earlier who did it successfully did tell me to try early versions of Dolphin and VBA-M. Could you link me to where I can select older versions of VBA-M, I keep having troubles finding? |
