I'm having trouble connecting Dolphin to VBA-M. So basically I'm trying to access the e-reader content from Pokémon Colosseum (Japanese version). I followed these guides but I have no success.

I used a Japanese e-reader+, latest dolphin and VBA-M emulators, and a GBA bios. When I reach the part of the game where I can connect to a GBA the e-reader says that the connection failed. Basically I keep getting this message on VBA.

Try using DSP LLE recompiler and properly dumped DSP roms. The guide you linked to might work for Sonic, but not necessarily Pokemon Colosseum.

Thanks, I'll try my best when I have the time.

I'll let you know if it works. A bunch of people on a discord server, that I'm in, tried the same but weren't able to so it would be really great if I manage to get it to work ^_^

Nope it didn't work, I'm getting the same problem and I used a Hash Checker all seems fine.

What should I do now?

Do you have any other Pokemon games with GBA connectivity that you can test?

I think the trick with Pokemon Colosseum is that the GBA has to be connected after the GC game boots up and is waiting for the GBA connection.  I was able to get the eReader content from Animal Crossing which has a similar scenario.

I can try connecting Japanese Colosseum to Japanese Emerald.

The way I connected it is:
-I booted up Japanses Colosseum
-Talked to the NPC that lets you connect to e-reader
-Turned on VBA-M (with bios toggled on)
-Went to GameCube connectivity in the e-reader menu.

Every time I get the same result.

Alternatively (if you already have the proper roms) maybe I could send you a copy of my Japanese Colosseum save file and let you test it out?

Or perhaps you could send me your Dolphin and VBA-M emulator files (if such a thing is allowed) to see if it works for me? (Maybe there's something wrong with my versions or settings  Huh )

Hi, yes, please attach your save file and I'll give it a try.

Hmmmm weird.

Got any ideas as to why this might be happening?
