Well your in luck since i also use a ps3 controller and have played this game with no problems 
So what i use is motionjoy to connect my ps3 controller to pc then I check x-box 360 controller then enable after that, you have to download this sweet config

And make sure you disable Alternate wii mote timing in properties it messes up the controller
