You also need a revision prior to revision 3545 or 356x since the plugin specifications changed in the new revisions, be aware that the DX9 plugin contains a lot of graphical issues and bugs which are not present in the OpenGL plugin. Overall the DX9 plugin will perform and look worse than the OpenGL plugin.
