Sad
Hi, forum. I come in hope of some assistance.

I am using Dolphin 2.0, for 64 bit Windows. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate, 64 bit.

I can successfully connect my Wii remote to the PC, and both the PC and the remote know there is an ongoing connection. My problem lies with the emulator itself...

If I click "Wiimote" on the top bar, I get the following message:
Code:
"Error loading Plugins/Plugin_Wiimote.dll: can't read info"
And then the emulator crashes.

If I click "Config", and then navigate to the "Plugins" tab, "Gamecube Pad" and "Wiimote" are both blank boxes, with nothing to select.

I have tried countless different previous versions of the 64 bit emulator, but to no avail. All the same issue.

The strange thing is, however.. I have another partition, which is running Windows 7 Ultimate, 32-bit. The 32-bit version of the emulator works fine in this aspect, but runs far too slowly, due to the limited nature of a 32-bit system. (Hence me wanting use my 64-bit partition).

Is there anyone else having/had this plugin issue on 64-bit? And if so, any help? Sad Any and all responses appreciated.

Teekz.

Look at the threads under "Important Threads". One is labeled "[Read me first] FAQ: Plugins missing....".

I apologise. I have done as instructed, and I'm updating my DirectX Runtime now. Will report back with results.

Actually, updating DirectX Runtime worked for me, I now see the plugins being detected.

Dolphin still won't pair up with my remote though. There is definitely a working, established connection between the remote and the PC.

EDIT - I had ONE time that the wiimote was successfully paired with Dolphin, but then I experienced the dreaded "Blue Screen of Death", and haven't been able to re-establish ever since.

BSODs are rarely (if at all) related to Dolphin, your problem lies somewhere between your os and your bt dongle. Dolphin is just triggering the problem.

Actually, After further investigation... I re-installed my bluetooth drivers, restarted, and then Dolphin picked up the Wiimote again. All was well until I tried to boot a Wii rom. As soon as it got a few seconds into the warning health screen, it Blue screen'd again. Huh

Any suggestions for me?

EDIT - I just re-installed my bluetooth drivers again, and restarted again, and as expected, Dolphin paired with the Wiimote instantly. I booted a different rom, and again, BSOD just after the health splash screen.

Any help greatly appreciated.

What game was it?
And are you using the normal wiimote plugin or the new one? Cuz I have problems with the new one.

The "Wiimote New Incomplete" plugin doesn't work with real wiimotes at all yet. It is "incomplete". :p
