Plugins? Direct3D? Am I missing something?

Alright so I have a few revisions of Dolphin saved on my PC, and I hear that Direct3D is the plugin everyone's using, yet I can't find it anywhere in recent builds. Oddly, one of the older revisions I have; build 4220, has the "Dolphin Direct3D9" plugin in the graphics settings, yet I can't find that anywhere in the latest build.

The Direct3D dll file is in the proper Plugins folder as it should be, but it doesn't show up in the drop down menu. Instead, it says Dolphin Software Renderer, and has no configurable settings.

Am I missing something here? Why isn't the D3D plugin showing up in the latest revisions, and what is this Dolphin Software Renderer? I searched around but I couldn't figure out any search terms that were precise enough to really give me an answer. So yeah, any help is appreciated. I'd really love to get this workin'. Thanks.

You forgot to read the stickies. Please update dx9 again. Dolphin software render is EXTREMELY slow, but makes some non bootable games work.

Oh wow, I had no idea DX9 was still updated that frequently. Though I can't find those stickies, I'm probably missing something extremely obvious.

Ah, yeah I got it now. I recently updated DX9 a few months ago, so I didn't expect to have to re-update it again. And yeah, I totally missed the support forum. My mistake.
