Great article!
Seems nobody cares about wii usb support Knowing this, could anyone test some mics? There are really a lot of wii games that use mics. I have some singstar usb mics (usb adapter with two miniplug input mics) Not sure if will work. Probably not.
What others USB peripherals aren't emulated by Dolphin?
It would be great Dolphin could emulate mics using non-USB mics like a headset. 01-27-2016, 09:32 AM
The article already says that USB mics still don't work in Dolphin, and I can confirm—Rock Band 3 refuses to see the mic, even after installing libusb's driver.
Computer specs in profile
Mics don't work. They do not use USB HID. Only USB HID devices work with Dolphin currently. Mics/Cameras and other non-HIDs need to be handled differently and I'm not sure.
Disney Infinity is HID, and thus should work. The game itself crashes for unrelated reasons. (01-27-2016, 04:23 AM)trihy Wrote: Knowing this, could anyone test some mics? Most (if not all) games that uses USB microphones communicates with them through another interface (/dev/usb/oh0) that sadly is not emulated currently... I can't say for sure but it contained code to pass the streams to the emulated microphones, however it was missing the code to "route" the audio from the computer's mic in to the emulator. Also, it's known that newer Just Dance games will always crash at boot because they're trying to access USB microphones, those newer titles can only boot in modded Dolphin builds based on wiispeak branch or that includes wiispeak code (like Ishiiruka, for example)...
Avell A70 MOB: Core i7-11800H, GeForce RTX 3060, 32 GB DDR4-3200, Windows 11 (Insider Preview)
ASRock Z97M OC Formula: Pentium G3258, GeForce GT 440, 16 GB DDR3-1600, Windows 10 (22H2)
So I'm sitting here with my Skylanders Swap Force portal since I want to set this up and Dolphin just doesn't see it? Is there a setting or something I need to turn on? I'm using Dolphin 4.0-8814 (though I doubt that matters)

You need to follow the same steps to get Dolphin to recognize the Nintendo GameCube Adapter. We have to override its driver with the LibUSB/WinUSB driver depending on what OS you're on. You can follow the wiki's guide for the Nintendo GameCube Adapter, except select "Spyro Porta" instead and override that driver. Then Dolphin should be able to detect it.

Maybe I chose the wrong driver for Windows 10? Which one should I use? My portal has the L at the end too... dunno if that means something. |
