Hey there!

On the compatibility list stands that Metroid 1+2 (US-Version) works perfectly. That's not true for me. I'm a huge Metroid fan and I really want to play the games so maybe you can help me to fix some problems Undecided

I use release 3972 of the emulator.
I have an Intel Dual Core Laptop with a GForce 9600M GT.

Metroid 1 (US-Version):
Beside the fact that the intro runs damn slow I can finally jump into the playable part for... When I leave the map menue I get this error:

I also need a way to gain much more speed without frame skipping. Everything is alright. I just want to go into the complex at the beginning, because the game might be not that slow inside and might be playable.

Metroid 2 (US-Version):
Works fine without a big loss of fps. I only have problems with the text:

How can I fix it? This should be readable English...

For Metroid Prime 1: yea, there are some crashes, but they're pretty random.

For Metroid Prime 2: enable Safe Texture Cache hack.

I have both games so I know the fix xP

Well I don't think the M1 crash is random when it occurs every time I come back from the pause menu =P

Many thanks for the M2 suggestion! It works perfectly.

Make sure to have Texture Safe Cache hack enabled for MP1 as well.

MP1 is still not playable for me. At the beginning there is a small tutorial. It says that I have to get into scan mode with pressing left on the d-pad. It doesn't work. I press it and I don't get into the scan mode oO

3:48 I can't go into scanmode like he does. Nothing happens for me.

MP2 is also unplayable. Well sort of. I can go into scan mode by pressing left on the d-pad, but can't scan objects. They don't even show up in a colour (you know... red = important, blue = whatever etc.). I looked it up on a walkthrough because I was clueless about what to do and what to scan. I can't be that stupid to stuck in the 2 minute of a game. Well on the other hand I often oversee something, but this is odd! =/

4:20 holy shit! It's the first time that I see this scan thing happen in real. This is how it looks for me:

I play NES, SNES, NDS, Gameboy, PS2 emulations and never came across an emulation where gameplay was missing. This is no offense I just think this is very interessting.

Switch to "Copy EFB to RAM" option in GFX settings and it will work, it's Dolphin bug

MP1 has random hangs due to changes to the fifo and command processor in r3984, which previously reverting these changes worked, but they made new changes to the fifo and moved the CP from Core to VideoCommon, which due to this, you cannot simply revert these changes anymore, without knowing what you're doing.

The game is basically unplayable, I can't get 5 minutes out of the game before it hangs. And most of the time, it hangs at the intro, before you even get to select your game file.

I have heard this is an issue with a few other games, but I don't have them. The other Metroids work just fine.
