Information
Hey all
I'm new to the site and I've gotta say I'm really impressed with both the user friendly site setup and how easy it is to get the emu up and running!

However, I seem to max out at about 25-30fps regardless of what game I run, and I know, I know - its a work in progress emulator and for a fairly high end system, requiring an even higher end PC. but my machine can hold its own. I've already followed the website guide to enhance performance and I've used task manager to kill any processes that were not essential to running windows... so , can someone help me tweak my settings to get this running at its best please?

Here are my system specs:

Dolphin r7269

ASUS P5LD2-VM Mobo
running Win XP Pro 32bit -with:
Intel P4 Prescott 630 3.00GHz with HT (2 threads) L1 16KB L2 2MB
which supports MMX, SSE 1, 2 3, and EM64T
I've got 5120MB of DDR2 Dual Channel Ram (xp only sees 2.87GB)
ram is set at: 266.7MHz with a FSBBig GrinRAM ratio of 3:4
with a PCI-E X16 NVidia GeForce 8600GT 512MB DDR3 video card

I've got snapshots of each tab for CPU-Z and of GPU-Z
I also have my DXDiag.txt file, all of it ready for review.
Also, I've got snapshots of my entire dolphin configuration tabs

side note: I'm using a motorola PC850 usb bluetooth with widcomm 5
linked through glovepie and PPJoy for input...
that much I got running perfectly!

Thanks for the help!

Pentium 4 single core 3Ghz is equivalent to low-end Dual Core 2.2Ghz !
Lastest Dolphin rev require at least Dual Core 3Ghz , you should upgrade your CPU

given the age of the system it'll be easier to simply buy a new pc and core with i# intel processor!

Thanks for the hell-a-fast reply!

Not even. In vector intensive apps with a lot of loops like dolphin the pentium 4s terrible brand prediction and netburst pipeline really start to slow things down. A core 2 duo wolfdale should be about 4-8 times as fast in this type of application at the same clock rate.
