Whenever I open the Hulk:UD file, there is sound in the in game cut scenes, the developer information, but no sounds in game! (by the way i'm running it on Dolphin 4.0.2, originally running it on Dolphin 3.5, but the sound error happened so i figured i needed to upgrade it, but there's still no sound in Dolphin 4.0.2. also for some reason, i can't run Dolphin 5.0 on my PC.)

First , read the rule . We don't support outdated Dolphin build and no way we can help you with that old build even if we want to .
So much change , improvement was made after Dolphin 4.0.2 (2013 , 3 years ago)
Get 64bit version of Windows then you can use Dolphin 5.0 .
Also don't forget to provide your specs when you ask for help

Really ? Windows 8.1 x86 is written on your profile . is it not ? If you really have x64 version of Windows , Visual Studio C++ 2015 installed , Dolphin 5.0 should work for you
Anyway , that is not enough of info .
Type : Windows logo key + R -> On "Run" command type : dxdiag -> Select : Yes -> Provide your specs info :
Processor : ???
Memory : ???
On display tab , Post the name your device here (For Example , Intel HD 4600)

heres the most relevant information:
Processor: Intel Core i5
12.0 GB of RAM
System Type: 64-bit OS, x64 based processor
(tell me if you need me to tell you any other info about my pc that is required to help me fix Dolphin) speaking of dolphin, i got 5.0, same issues.

Do you have any other game to test ? I mean that game should be playable with sound according to Dolphin Wiki . The only issue of that game is Audio Out Of Sync
I've seen it run well on Dolphin 5.0 . No idea why it doesn't work for you
On Dolphin Configuration , change Sound Settings to "DSP LLE recompile" , LLE is slower than HLE but it may fix your problem

Please specify that the C++ runtime is needed, not Visual Studio itself. I've seen more than one user think they need to get Visual Studio to just run the Dolphin binary...

Anyway, if you're using the stable release of 5.0, the installer will install this automatically.

What happens when you try to run it?
