so I ended up getting the note 5 because it was fee anyway :-) I'm just worried what happens after 3 years I hope it doesn't become a paperweight

The note 4 uses the S805 not the 810 so it doesn't have the throttling problems.  Either way the Exynos 7 is much faster.

I'm sure he'll get the idea of how unsupported s805 would do if S810 can't even match with Exynos 7. 

P.S. Every single SoC does throttle, it's just S810 doing this much quicker due to 20nm and big.LITTLE

If you want android Dolphin, get a Shield TV or wait for the Pixel C.

Or you could wait for SoC OEMs to fix their drivers, but that won't happen anytime soon.
