Hello people, I really need some help here. I just got the bow and arrow in Zelda Wind Waker, and that has made me realize the aiming sensitivity is too fast while aiming. I'm familiar with emulators, I've been using them since the NESticle days on DOS in the 90s. I have the modifier set to "Button 7" which is the R1 button on myu 8bitdo sf30 pro. When I add the modifier, and right click to see the settings, it defaults the range to 50. If i set the range to -500, 100, 50, 500, etc. it doesn't matter, it always slows the analog down to a CRAWL. With the modifier set, the analog is useless, Link can't even walk. Please can someone tell me why the modifier is not working properly? Am I not setting it up right? I've used modifiers before in programs like Project64 so I understand how they should operate. Please help me dudes, I need to beat this game, I quit back in 2004 and the time is now!

I use Windows 10, I'm playing on a tiny asus N4000 laptop with 4gb ram. I have plenty of other laptops or devices I can try this on, but I think the issue here is the emulator or me, not the PC.

Yes. The "Modifier" is currently hard-coded to reduce the input by 50%.

Your gamepad "8bitdo sf30 pro" appears to have analog inputs. You shouldn't need or want to even configure a modifier. It is typically only used with keyboard/digital inputs.

Did you click the "Calibrate" button? Maybe not having done that is causing over-sensitivity?

Show a screenshot of your "Gamecube Controller" config.

The 50% modifier doesn't work, it just slows down everything to a crawl and there is no difference between setting the modifier to -500 or 500.  I need the modifier because the analog is too sensitive for precise aiming.  In other emulators, I could easily set a modifier so that when "Button whatever" is pressed, it will reduce the analog sensitivity to my set value.  It's pretty straightforward what I'm trying to do, and I do need and want a modifier, because I can't aim properly.  I think the issue is with the emulator.  I can easily do this with other programs and I think even around 10 years ago I was doing this with a program called xpadder.  In any case, I'll get a screenshot of my control config shortly but that won't really make a difference, it's all calibrated and the buttons are set properly.  The default modifier is Left Shift I think, and I changed it to Button 7 which is my R1 button and also my Z button in the emulator.  I want to be able to hold down Z and make the aiming sensitivity a different value than normal.  I even tried in the modifier settings to make it "button 7" and x axis, y axis, full x, full y, etc.  i tried a few combos and nothing was able to change the sensitivity, it was always so slow that Link can't even walk.

Thanks for the reply, but I'm done posting to this site, it's too hard to communicate. I think all my posts are being moderated and edited and merged etc. which is laughable. I posted the photos of my config screen twice and still can't view them. You guys really know how to ruin technical support lmfao. Ditch the moderators and let people speak, holy shit. Thanks anyways whoever replied. Peace out fellas.
