I'm fairly new to emulation and have never used dolphin before. I know it's a great emulator but the hardware needed to run it properly isn't cheap when your 15. I have only ever owned basic computers and laptops that wouldn't stand a chance running dolphin, so I have decided to save some cash to buy a £449.99 Desktop PC (that's $724.04!) anyway here's the specs I know of:
ASUS M31AD
CPU and Memory:
•Intel Core i5 4440S dual core (unsure of the speed of the cores since Argos don't say).
•2GB RAM (according to the website, but the catalogue says it's 8GB for some reason).
Hard drive:
•1000GB SATA hard drive.
Graphics:
•Shared graphics.
•Intel HD Graphics.
Interfaces and connectivity:
•3 x USB 2.0 ports.
•2 x USB 3.0 ports.
•Ethernet port.
•1 HDMI port.
•Bluetooth.
•Wireless/Wi-Fi enabled.
•Wired keyboard and mouse.
Operating system & software:
•Microsoft Windows 8.1.
I only know the basics of a computers components (CPU, RAM Graphics Card Etc.) I don't know much more than the simple things. But one thing I noticed was that Argos (the seller) didn't note the speed of the cores for some reason. So is this worth buying to run dolphin?
Hopefully someone can help clear things up a little.
