I'm trying to play Smash Bros Infinite with my friend. The last time we did netplay was with 5.0-9224 and it worked just fine then. But on the latest version, if I host boot.elf in netplay, Dolphin crashes. We both tested to see if we could run the Brawl mod offline first and it still worked.

Update: I've also tried booting GeckoOS in netplay through the main.dol file and by using the Homebrew Channel. In both situations Dolphin crashes before GeckoOS boots up.

Does Dolphin detect the virtual SD card for you? Boot up vanilla brawl and see if you can save a stage to the SD card or save a replay to it.

It detects the virtual SD card in netplay just fine. I just tested netplay with other homebrew apps like Wii64 and they still work. It's just GeckoOs that won't work in netplay.
And I know there isn't anything wrong with my Smash Bros SD.raw file because GeckoOs and the mod boot up just fine when I'm not doing netplay.

I did some more netplay testing and just GeckoOS by itself with no SD card inserted crashes Dolphin. Offline it still boots up like normal. So it's definitely not the SD.raw that's the problem, it's boot.elf.

It works offline but not on netplay...? In that case, I'd suggest turning off dual core.

Yeah. I tried that too. Still crashes Dolphin. I tried downloading a bunch of other developer builds and it appears that 5.0-10262 is the newest version where GeckoOS still works in netplay for me.

We're currently working on this regression - it's an issue with libusb
