Is it possible? Or do I just have to leave the controller plugged in all the time like I do now?

yes. many do this.
Just pair the controller in your OS. You might need DS4Windows. not sure. 09-28-2017, 07:26 AM

DS4Windows or the SCPToolkit, depending on how much flexibility you want! DS4Windows is powerful but a bit complicated, SCPToolkit is inflexible, but super simple.

Semi old I know, but does anyone know if this can work with 2 controllers? I'm using ds4windows, win10 base dolphin 5.0, and 2 ps4 controllers wirelessly and only 1 will show input? It works fine for project 64!
