I am having a weird issue on my Galaxy S8 Active; the latest Google Play version of the emulator runs Mario Kart Doublke Dash VERY well, basically 55-60fps constant on my device, but there is a weird rendering issue where everything is darker than it should be. Has anyone experienced this issue on their S8/S8+/S8 Active?

Thanks for any assistance you guys can give!

This happens on all Android phones as far as I know, but you should be able to avoid it by switching the graphics backend to OpenGL.

Yeah, the Android graphics drivers are busted for a feature Mario Kart: Double Dash uses. Either we implement a hack or wait for them to get fixed. We're hoping they'll fix it.

In this case, they're not broken, they just lack a feature that we need.

I thought they were busted because it did get implemented in OpenGL.

Stenzek was able to make a fallback implementation for OpenGL. This type of implementation isn't possible with Vulkan if I understand it correctly. See https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/pull/6141

Please create a new topic about that instead of hijacking this one.
