Whenever I load a game up on my steam deck (Vulkan, loaded from microSD, installed latest beta from emudeck), there seems to be pixelated flickering. I’m not sure how to describe it exactly.

I made a reddit thread to document the issue, linked below.

That is incredibly hard to see in that video unless you have it blown up on a large monitor and have the video resolution set to 720HD.

A couple of things to check:
1. If you right-click the game in Dolphin's game list (in desktop mode) > Properties > Verify tab > Verify, does it say you have a good dump of the game?
2. Does this happen in other games?
3. Can you post screenshots of Dolphin's Graphics tabs for how you have it setup? I can check tonight if I'm getting the same issue or not with your settings.
4. Does it say what version of Dolphin you're actually running? The latest version in the Discovery store for the Deck is 5.0-17210. If you're not on that version, please update to the latest version.

1. It said it was a good dump, some got scrubbed with nkit however but it’s persistence across all titles may suggest that doesn’t play a factor.
2. This issue persists over any game I try (Luigi’s Mansion, SSBM, TTYD, SMS)
3. https://postimg.cc/gallery/gJz1H3K
4. I’m on that same version

So those sparkles appear to be a compression bug in the video driver. Specifically this is probably a bug in Radeon's Delta Color Compression (DCC).

Update your deck to the latest Steam Beta and see if it is still happening. If it is, report this to Valve support.

EDIT: Also this is not related to your issue but please use Dolphin directly instead of using emudeck. They do some wacky stuff with settings and we do not recommend them.

I will try using the typical flatpak version. What I think it very well could be EmuDeck’s fault due to me installing the flatpak on my 1st Deck, encountering no issues, but then had to send back for RMA. I’ll update to the latest beta and see if that does anything.
