pinball hall of fame with emulated wiimote doesn't recognize nunchuck

I've configured Williams Pinball hall of fame to use my 360 using an emulated wiimote, but no matter how I configure it, it is requesting I connnect the nunchuk before it will load the games menu. I know the emulated wiimote and nunchuk work, as I use the 360 controller for RE4wii.

Any thoughts why it's giving me a hard time about the nunchuck, when it is obviously present?
